The Bloom Group Welcomes New Executive Director

December 19, 2018

The Bloom Group Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth (Liz) Barnett as Executive Director, effective January 21, 2019.

Elizabeth brings over thirty years of progressively senior experience in the Not-for-Profit sector, most recently serving as Executive Director of the North Shore Disability Resource Centre (NSDRC), with an employee base of more than two hundred employees. Elizabeth increased NSDRC’s revenues significantly during her tenure, while maintaining accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). NSDRC proudly serves over 2,000 people with disabilities each year.

Elizabeth’s experience includes sitting on several provincial committees, and she holds a Non-Profit Management Certificate from Vancouver Community College.

The Bloom Group would like to thank Jonathan Oldman for his 11 years of service as Executive Director. Jonathan was instrumental in stabilizing The Bloom Group’s financial position, restructuring operations and ensuring a high level of service quality in our programs, which led to The Bloom Group receiving CARF accreditation. Several construction and acquisition projects were completed during Jonathan’s tenure.

The Bloom Group’s Board of Directors wishes Jonathan well in his future endeavours.
