JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Clerk provides support to our clients by ensuring invoices are processed and payments are recorded accurately and on time. The incumbent is also responsible for data entry, account reconciliations and other administrative tasks as assigned. In addition, the position respond to queries from internal Associates and external Clients, while demonstrating a high level of customer service.

 

 

EDUCATION/PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized accounting course, accounts receivable and 3+ years’ recent experience, related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in a high volume environment
  • Experience working with ERP/Accounting software
  • Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm

 

 

ABILITIES/SKILLS:

  • Ability to work well with others in promoting a team environment as well work with minimal amount of supervision.
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Multi-task & problem solving skills
  • Proficient in working with Excel, specialized accounting software, MS Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Physically able to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to work with people who may have experienced abuse, poverty, grief and loss, oppression, violence, mental health challenges, and/or addictions issues, and/or those who may be living with HIV/AIDS or other life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
