Integrity, Transparency, Accountability
We adhere to best practices around service delivery, fiscal responsibility and performance measurement. We honor our responsibility to every individual whom we serve, every donor who invests in our community and every partner who helps broaden the impact of our work.
Our Core Values
- We are a professional, well-managed organization. We nurture a culture of accountability, respect and learning throughout our organization.
- We do not accept the status quo. We are dedicated to developing innovative, long-term, sustainable services that facilitate positive change in our community.
- We do everything we can to remove barriers to service. We are non-judgemental: we meet people wherever they are in their lives and treat them with respect and dignity.
- We seek opportunities to collaborate. We are committed to partnering with other organizations to leverage the benefits to the community.
Territory Acknowledgement
The Bloom Group acknowledges that it operates on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement
The Bloom Group Community Services Society embraces, values and respects a variety of social and cultural characteristics including, but not limited to race, class, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sexual identity, gender identity, mental and physical ability, family status, income, immigrant or refugee status, educational attainment, language, place of birth, generational status, and political or religious affiliation. In order for TBG to fulfill its mission and be a leader in service delivery, we commit to celebrating diversity, ensuring inclusion and working towards equity in all we do. We shall continually strive to reflect the diversity of our community in our employment, our provision of services, our volunteer participation, and in the composition of our Board of Directors, committees, management team and staff and contractors.
TBG acknowledges that colonization, patriarchy and other forms of oppression have created systems that increase the marginalization of oppressed groups and establish barriers to their full access and participation in the community. TBG seeks to change these systems and remove barriers to increase access and participation, especially for those who are marginalized, disadvantaged or oppressed.
TBG strives to be an organization that values and celebrates everyone’s life experiences, their voices and their histories. By consistently bringing new perspectives to our decision-making table, forming new partnerships and alliances, and finding new ways to support service innovation, TBG will be a strong, equitable and relevant organization. Throughout this process, we commit to humility, optimism and respect.
