JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Affordable Housing Services reports to the VP, Real Estate and Facilities and provides operational oversight and delivery of services across affordable housing sites (units), which includes both the Affordable Housing buildings. The Manager is responsible for supervision of staff and overall program leadership, ensuring quality care and services to residents that are delivered in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act, ensuring that any Licensing Standards are complied with, staff development, supervision and support; fostering a positive and collaborative working environment for staff; a commitment to participating in their own continuing professional development; developing partnership and facilitating linkages between Housing  and service providers in the community health and housing sector.

EDUCATION/PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years’ experience working in managing social, affordable, non-market housing developments, mental health, supported or mental health housing services, or in a related field, and
  • Three (3) years’ management and supervisory experience in a related field, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • BC Class 5 driver’s license required – use of a personal vehicle during work hours may be required.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
